 Purple Boots Campaign – WES

The Women’s Engineering Society (WES) is seeking two talented graduates to assist with coordination of marketing activities and events for their new Purple Boots Campaign. 

 The Purple Boots Campaign is an exciting national initiative aimed at inspiring and engaging women to achieve their potential in non-traditional areas such as engineering, construction, science and technology. 

 Reporting to the Manager, the Marketing & Events Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring the marketing plan is implemented successfully. There are a number of facets to this role which might be easily spread over 2 or 3 part time roles. 

 This varied position will include: 

 Coordinating marketing activities for the campaign 

  • Keeping the Purple Boots website up to date
  • Managing social media content including Facebook, YouTube and Twitter
  • Project managing and promoting events
  • Liaising with regional WES groups to publicise Purple Boots activities
  • Working closely with key sponsors and stakeholders

 As Marketing & Events Coordinator, it will be essential that you have excellent communication and presentation skills and an eye for detail. Ideally you will have previous experience of project managing marketing activities and events. 

 The successful candidate should be degree qualified in marketing, media or a related subject and enthusiastic about the opportunities that can be gained from integrating online and traditional marketing tactics. 

 In return, this is a great chance to hold a national marketing and events role working alongside leading organisations and industry bodies.
